资源简介:
The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school. This volume contains information pertaining to each pupil including: date of admission; pupil's name, gender, date of birth and religious denomination; name of previous school and date of leaving. The following details are recorded about the child's parents or guardians: name and residence. The pupil's date of admission to each subsequent grade and date of leaving the school are also recorded. The volume makes further provision to record either the name of any school, college or University to which the pupil may have proceeded, or any occupation entered into by the pupil on leaving school.Girls and boys are listed on opposite pages, in order of admission, until 1971; for the last three years of the school’s operation, however, they appear on the same page. Entries are numbered continuously until the end of 1961, with the numbers alternating so that odd-numbered entries refer to girls and even-numbered to boys. Thereafter the numbering begins anew at the start of each school year, and entries are numbered strictly in order of admission. The last page of entries ends with the note “School Closed 12.12.74.”
