The
CHIKV-ECSA virus lineage was first detected in Brazil at municipality of Feira de Santana (FSA), by mid 2014. Here we examine
the genomic diversity of CHIKV strains circulating in FSA until 2016
to inspect whether the virus has acquired mutations associated with
increased viral fitness.
