Supplementary tables and analytic dataset for: "Trends and levels of global, regional, and national burden of appendicitis from 1990 to 2021 (GBD 2021)

This record provides the supplementary materials supporting the manuscript “Trends and levels of global, regional, and national burden of appendicitis from 1990 to 2021: An age–period–cohort analysis using the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021”. The underlying estimates were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2021 via the GBD Results Tool. The supplementary materials include the completed GATHER checklist and supplementary tables reporting appendicitis burden (incidence, deaths, and DALYs) at global, regional/SDI, and country/territory levels for 1990 and 2021, as well as temporal changes from 1990 to 2021, including percent change in all-age numbers (number PC) and percent change in age-standardised rates (rate PC), and EAPC/AAPC metrics (stratified by sex where applicable). Additional outputs include frontier analysis results for DALYs in relation to SDI.
