Dataset for the article "Coalescence of levitating droplets in a bichromatic acoustic field"

This dataset contains experimental data underlying the article "Coalescence of levitating droplets in a bichromatic acoustic field" by Anastasia Shishova, Dmitrii Riashchikov, Anastasia Stolboushkina, Iakov Medvedkov, Aleksei Torbin, and Ivan Antonov. It includes: Raw Schlieren visualization frames (BMP format, resolution 208×220 pixels, 50 frames per second, 7375 files in total). The data are provided for three configurations of the acoustic field: 25 kHz (monochromatic), 40 kHz (monochromatic), and 25 + 40 kHz (bichromatic).The files are organized into corresponding subfolders inside the "Schlieren/" directory and are named as Pic_XXXX.bmp, where XXXX is the frame number. Python script (FFT_2d.py) for processing Schlieren images. The script performs two steps: preprocessing (loading and ROI extraction) and 2D Fourier transform.It requires the following libraries: numpy, matplotlib, opencv-python, scipy (all are listed in the import section of the script). Frames of coalescence of two distilled water droplets (BMP format, resolution 200×293 pixels, 236 files in total), named as Pic_XXXX.bmp, where XXXX is the frame number.
