资源简介:
Cohort Description The Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA) is a study of the characteristics of subclinical cardiovascular disease (CVD) and the risk factors that predict progression to clinically overt CVD or progression of the subclinical disease. MESA researchers study a diverse, population-based sample of 6,814 asymptomatic men and women aged 45-84. Participants were recruited from six field centers across the United States: Wake Forest University, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Minnesota, Northwestern University and University of California - Los Angeles. Participants of this study are limited to MESA Classic participants. MESA Family and MESA Air Pollution cohorts are excluded from C4R. Data Being SubmittedThis new version includes C4R Freeze 2.0 data, which incorporates newly collected data from Wave 3; a review of medical records for COVID-19 events; Serosurvey 2.0; newly harmonized datasets for lung CT, brain MRI, and neurocognitive assessments; and updated datasets for derived and phenotype variables. Lung CT data includes 88 variables for up to 3412 MESA participants in C4R.Brain MRI data includes 13 variables for up to 962 MESA participants in C4R. Derived data includes 62 variables for up to 3413 MESA participants in C4R. Healthcare utilization data includes 21 variables for up to 185 MESA participants in C4R. Neurocognitive data includes 16 variables for up to 2643 MESA participants in C4R. Phenotype data includes 138 variables for up to 3413 MESA participants in C4R. Serology data includes 20 variables for up to 1643 MESA participants in C4R. Wave 3 questionnaire data includes 81 variables for up to 2006 MESA participants in C4R. ]]> Please see phs000209. MESA Family and MESA Air Pollution cohorts are excluded from C4R.]]> Please see phs000209. C4R activities were completed in the following timeframes: Wave 1 questionnaire: 2020-2021 Wave 2 questionnaire: 2021-2022 Dried blood spots: 2021-2022 Version 2: This new version includes C4R Freeze 2.0 data, which incorporates newly collected data from Wave 3; a review of medical records for COVID-19 events; Serosurvey 2.0; newly harmonized datasets for lung CT, brain MRI, and neurocognitive assessments; and updated datasets for derived and phenotype variables. Please note that Serosurvey 2.0, lung CT, brain MRI, and neurocognitive assessments are not available for all cohorts.]]>
