VPRS 17897 Admission and Discharge Register

This series consists of volumes detailing male and female admissions to Allambie Reception Centre (VA 5033).The register records the following:- date of admission- accommodation section assigned (Nursery, Tecoma (boys only unit), Heath, Cassia, Banksia or Correa units)- gender- date of birth- religion- wardship status (Ward or Remand)- parents' names and address- place from which admitted or discharged toThe register also recorded any leave children had from the Centre, such as visiting parents during the holidays.The volume documenting admissions from 1964-1968 is missing from the series. At the time of transfer, October 2017, the whereabouts of this volume is unknown to both the agency and PROV.
