Dataset of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) at ground level near to petrochemical plant

The dataset was collected in ​​the city of Cadereyta, Nuevo León, Mexico, from March 1 to May 31, 2024. The monitoring station is implemented in an area with different characteristics regarding potential sources of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. The air quality monitoring station is located at the residential, commercial, and industrial levels, as well as on avenues and boulevards with high vehicular traffic and heavy cargo transport, and near a petrochemical plant. VOC concentration (ppm) values were measured using a low-cost ZE40B-TVOC sensor, with samples taken every 3 minutes. Relative humidity (%), temperature (°C), and barometric pressure values ​​were measured with a Bosch BME280 sensor.
