Stylistic devices, including metaphor and simile play a vital role in making speech expressive, emotional and understandable. With the help of these, people convey their ideas clearly and imaginative. The findings indicate that metaphors are commonly used before and modern English rather than simile. This article analyzed the differences and usage of two devices.
