methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus CC398 from Taiwan 2018-2022

This study investigates 14 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) CC398 isolates collected from patients in a regional hospital in central Taiwan between 2018 and 2022. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) was performed, followed by genome assembly and analysis of mobile genetic elements (MGEs). The study focuses on the identification of antibiotic resistance genes and virulence factors to better understand the genetic characteristics and potential public health implications of MRSA CC398 in Taiwan.
