资源简介:
The "National Travel Survey 1991-92" is the second survey of this series that were conducted in Norway. The preceding survey was conducted in 1985. The travel survey deals with all types of personal travels: Both daily, shorter travels and longer travels that happen more rarely. Also, use of all sorts of transportation, including walking, are touched upon. The objective is to examine the populations travel activity and travelling pattern. The survey shall, amongst other things, give information about people's travels, how and why they travel and variations in travel activity between different population groups. A further purpose of the survey is to find out how much and how people travel so that the authorities can use this information in connection with planning of the road and public transport sector. Data on the population's travel activity are vital for national and local transport planning. The results are used as a basis for development of transport models, prognosis work, calculations of exposure in traffic safety work and research. The travel surveys are also important as background for evaluating results from surveys on specific means of transportation or particular geographical areas. The survey is comprised of five files: person file, short travels, longer travels, household members and cars. This is the longer travels file. In this file, the units are long journeys made by the interviewee in the three-month period prior to the interview. Each journey, up to 8 per interviewee, constitutes a separate unit.
