BEX genes are expressed in a wide range of tissues and play significant roles in neuronal development. Here, we generated a Bex2 KO mouse model using the CRISPR-Cas9 technology. A transcriptomic study of the brain was performed. Important biological functions of Bex2 related to brain development and functions were identified. A further study is required to confirm and explain each aspect that has been identified.
