HeLa cells were incubated with 5% CALNNTAT, 95% PEG (mole/mole) capped gold nanoparticles for 48 h. The gold nanoparticles containing medium was then removed and cells were washed three times with warm 1 x PBS. The cells were then fixed and processed for TEM. Four different cell sections were imaged (35 images) to probe the localisation of gold nanoparticles.
