RealRice2023

The RealRice2023 dataset was constructed to study the transferability of OSNet on different crop types. The study area is situated at the Baima Experimental Station (119°18′71″E, 31°62′00″N) of Nanjing Agricultural University in China in 2023. This experiment includes 587 rice cultivars, and each replicated three times. Each plot occupied an area of 1m × 1.5 m. The row spacing and column spacing of 211 japonica rice cultivars are 0.18 m and 0.25 m, respectively, while the row spacing and column spacing of 376 indica rice cultivars are 0.2 m and 0.3 m, respectively. The image data was acquired on two distinct occasions, specifically on July 15 and July 18, 2023, utilizing the DJI Matric 300 RTK (SZ DJI Technology Co., Shenzhen, China) equipped with a Zenmuse P1 camera boasting a resolution of 8192×5460 pixels. The flight parameters, data processing, and dataset construction methods were consistent with the RealWheat2021 dataset. Specifically, the data collected on July 15 was divided into training and testing datasets at a ratio of 7:3, whereas all data collected on July 18 were designated as the testing dataset. Finally, the RealRice2023 dataset was constructed with 4352 images.
