Images and GIS Data from Archaeological Works at Severn Road, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire 2022

This collection comprises images and GIS data from a programme of archaeological work on land at Severn Road, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire carried out by Cotswold Archaeology in May and August 2022. Archaeological features uncovered included a probable Roman pit, structural remains relating to a late 19th to early 20th-century carpet works, a reinforced concrete basement and a 600mm narrow gauge hand cart rail system considered likely to be associated with the use of site as a munitions factory during the Second World War. Late 20th-century structural remains, likely relating to the post-War expansion of the carpet works and its subsequent demolition in the early 21st century, were also recorded.
