Fairing areas in marinas, private anchorage areas and boatyards

As part of the implementation of the action plan for marine environments, Cerema Risques, Water and Sea, carried out for the Ministry responsible for the Environment, a national study in metropolitan France to identify the level of equipment in fairing areas of marina, mooring areas and private boatyards in order to assess their respect for the environment. The data collected through surveys carried out in 2017 among the managers, government departments and public institutions concerned and supplemented by a bibliographic research enabled the construction of a layer of geographical information. The latter locates, in the form of points, the sites (recreational harbours, mooring areas and private boatyards) whether or not equipped in fairing areas. The layer also characterises the level of equipment in fairing areas at each of the sites identified and, for those equipped with a fairing area, the type of effluent treatment. This layer is updated annually on the basis of data collected in the last quarter by email or on GEOIDE.
