Ionization yield vs delay of benzene

We used a 4-f AOM-based pulse shaper to create phase-stable deep-UV pump and probe pulses with sub-10 attosecond relative timing control. This attosecond-precision pulse shaping allowed us to resolve long-lived electronic coherences, modulated by nuclear dynamics, via interference between multiple ionization pathways.The data consist of ionization yields measured as a function of pump–probe delay for both in-phase and out-of-phase between pulses, averaged over 5 runs. Difference signals are obtained by subtracting the out-of-phase data from the in-phase data.
