资源简介:
Three charcoal samples were submitted for identification and AMS radiocarbon dating. Two of the charcoal samples were taken from a post mold at the Sugar Lake site in central Minnesota. These charcoal samples were expected to date around 1500 BP. The thirdbcharcoal sample was recovered from a pit feature at site 21-CW-247 and was believed tobrepresent an Archaic occupation around 7000 BP. Additionally, two samples of burned food residue were submitted for AMS radiocarbon dating. The burned food residue was obtained from ceramic sherds at sites 21-CW-99 and 21-CW-247 in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. The burned food residue from 21-CW-99 was expected to date around 1200-1500 BP, while an age of 1800 BP was expected for the burned residue from 21-CW-247.
