This dataset focuses on the Hanjiang River Basin located in the north-south transition zone of China. It collects monthly sediment particle size distribution data from major hydrological stations in the basin during the period 1950–2018. The dataset covers 3 hydrological stations, and is primarily constructed via standardized sorting, analysis and integration of collected and organized historical hydrological yearbook materials. It includes annual, monthly and sub-monthly sediment particle size distribution data, with a total of 757 data records, a data volume of 415 KB, and all data are fully open for sharing.
