Annotation: This article examines the role of digital technologies and social networks in shaping and developing the political culture of young people in Uzbekistan under conditions of modernization. The author analyses how digital platforms transform the ways youth acquire political knowledge, form civic values, and participate in socio-political processes. The paper identifies key mechanisms through which social networks influence political socialization, including access to alternative information sources, interactive discussion formats, and rapid feedback channels between citizens and state bodies. Particular attention is paid to the dual nature of digital influence: on the one hand, broadening political awareness and civic engagement, and on the other, exposing youth to disinformation, manipulation, and polarization. The study also considers the development of digital literacy as a prerequisite for responsible political participation. Based on the analysis of current trends in Uzbekistan, the author proposes practical recommendations for strengthening the positive potential of digital technologies while mitigating associated risks.
