Raw LC–MS/MS proteomic dataset of testicular tissue from control, obese, and diabetic adult male rats

Study question: Do obesity and diabetes alter testicular metabolic pathways and reproductive protein abundance in adult male rats?

This dataset presents proteomic data derived from a controlled experimental study including adult male Wistar rats distributed into three groups: control, diabetic, and obese (n = 5 per group). Obesity was induced over 38 weeks using a high-calorie diet supplemented with 5% sucrose in drinking water (ad libitum). Diabetes was induced 53 days prior to euthanasia by a single intraperitoneal streptozotocin injection (35 mg/kg). After euthanasia, testicular tissues were carefully dissected, immediately processed for protein extraction, and prepared for shotgun LC–MS/MS proteomic analysis.

Data files are structured into separate folders according to experimental group (control, diabetic, and obese), and each folder contains the individual raw mass spectrometry files from the corresponding biological replicates.
