Traffic strengths Hamburg

Traffic censuses are carried out at regular intervals in the area of Hamburg. The results from these censuses are primarily used for traffic planning and the determination of traffic developments in Hamburg. For each year, the average daily vehicle traffic strengths are determined as a measure of the average traffic load of a road cross-section and displayed on a map. Using mathematical-statistical methods, the average values of all days (DTV) and all working days (Mo.-Fr., DTVw) are distinguished. The maps are available in digital format (pdf) on the Internet at http://www.hamburg.de/bvm/verkehrsbelastung. The average values are based on 30 permanent counting points and around 300 levels at which the flowing vehicle traffic is collected randomly on representative days. Traffic strengths of varying topicality are also available in the road information bank TT-SIB as point information.
