This dataset is compiled from publicly published academic literature data and in-situ water quality monitoring data at the Xiantao section of the middle and lower Hanjiang River operated by the supporting institution, covering the occurrence time, extent, algal density, dominant algal species, and average concentrations of DO, TP and TN of each algal bloom event in the middle and lower Hanjiang River from 1992 to 2021.
