Data from: Environmental Modulation of Cytotoxicity and Virulence Factor Stability in Psychrotolerant Bacillus cereus Group Isolates

The goal of this study was to characterize the virulence potential of psychrotolerant Bacillus cereus strains from panC groups II and VI under conditions relevant to food safety. Specifically, we aimed to (i) determine whether these strains exhibit cytotoxicity and transcribe virulence genes at human body temperature (37 °C) relative to conditions representing psychrotolerant optimal growth (32 °C) and refrigeration temperature abuse (10 °C); (ii) evaluate how growth in nutrient-rich laboratory broth versus a dairy-based food matrix influence virulence gene transcription and cytotoxicity; and (iii) assess the biological stability of secreted virulence factors following exposure to stressors that mimic thermal treatment and gastrointestinal passage.The file "Figure_1.csv" contains the Newick tree file for all isolates.
