Opinions on face masks at concerts during the coronavirus in Italy 2020, by age group

A survey from April 2020 asked Italian individuals if they would attend live music events where it is mandatory to wear face masks and keep a safe distance because of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Data revealed that the desire of attending music concerts without any sort of restrictions was stronger among young interviewees. About 31 percent of respondents aged 18-24 years would not take part in such live music events, because they want to feel free and do not want any restriction while attending a concert. Similarly, roughly 28 percent of respondents aged 13-17 years believed the same. On the other hand, about six in ten interviewees aged 65 years and older would attend a live music events wearing face masks and keeping a safe distance.
