Anti-tuberculosis drug resistance in Slovakia, 2018-2019: a whole-genome epidemiological study

We present the findings from the first whole genome sequencing-based epidemiological analysis of drug resistant tuberculosis clinical isolates circulating in Slovakia in the period 2018-2019. The investigation revealed the predominance of the Euro-American 4.7 lineage and cluster analysis showed extensive recent transmission events of this lineage in Slovakia.
