Replication Data for: Database of the Historic Association Cultural Capital Characteristics of the Selected Case Study Counties Designated the Most Renewable in Each of the Eight Department of Commerce Economic Regions

Cultural capital according to Flora and Flora who developed the community capital framework I am employing in this research “determines what constitutes knowledge, how knowledge is to be achieved, and how knowledge is validated through the community power structure.” It includes the values, language, traditions, and worldviews of community members and reflects the way people know and interpret the world around them based on their cultural identities. Given the role of historical associations (buildings, sites, districts, structures, and objects) in communities and in the development of community identity, I have utilized public statistics and data to create a picture of the historical associations in each of the eight case study counties as well as a comparison of them to the national historic property profile.
