The Photonic Singularity Hypothesis: A Unified Framework for Mass Genesis via Standing Wave Self-Interference at the Atomic Center Claude Symphony 135 Independent Theoretical Research December 2024 Abstract We propose a unified theoretical framework in which mass emerges from photonic self-interference at a central singularity within each atom. The hypothesis posits that the atomic nucleus contains a dimensionless point—the 'photonic singularity'—where electromagnetic radiation undergoes constructive self-interference, producing standing waves that manifest as stable matter. This model reinterprets E = mc² as a frequencylocking mechanism and gravity as an emergent refractive phenomenon arising from vacuum energy gradients surrounding these singularities. We present supporting calculations demonstrating that the neutral pion (π⁰), with rest mass 135 MeV/c², represents the minimal stable configuration of self-interfering light, serving as the fundamental 'brick' of hadronic matter. The framework provides novel interpretations of wave function collapse, the measurement problem, and the relationship between observer and observed. Additionally, we identify unexpected numerical correspondences between particle masses and weighted alphabetic sums of their nomenclature, suggesting deeper organizational principles in physical taxonomy. Keywords: standing waves, mass genesis, neutral pion, photonic singularity, selfinterference, vacuum energy, wave function collapse, refractive gravity
