This dataset contains outputs from the Regional Ocean Hydrodynamic model SYMPHONIE for the simulations SYM-RRI (with river discharge forcing) and SYM-NRI (without river discharge forcing). The model domain encompasses the Southeast Asia region with a high-resolution horizontal grid of 5 km. The dataset includes surface layer parameters (U, V, T, S), covering the period 2009 - 2019. The atmospheric forcing is provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) operational forecasts (https://www.ecmwf.int), the initial and lateral boundary conditions by the Global Ocean Physics Reanalysis from the Copernicus Marine Service (GLORYS12V1, https://doi. org/10.48670/moi-00021, CMEMS, 2023a), tides by the FES2014 tide atlas (Lyard et al., 2021) and the river discharge by the hydrological analysis GloFAS (Alfieri et al., 2013).
