Classification of the flax genotypes from the Gene Bank of the Slovak Republic into oil (O) and fiber (F) economic types based on linear discriminant functions

The dataset includes a table with information on the classification of 139 genotypes of flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) according to their economic use for oil and fibre production. It also includes morphometric data on the Technical length of stem (mm), and the Weight of thousand seeds (g) of all genotypes. Information on the economic use of genotypes was obtained through calculations based on linear discriminant functions. The morphometric data were obtained as part of the author's dissertation. A total of 139 genotypes of flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) are represented in the national collection held in the gene bank of the Slovak Republic. The information regarding their economic use was not available in the database, and this was therefore added by calculation based on discriminant functions.
