Here we provide 16S sequences for leaf biofilms collected from Metasequoia, Araucaria, and Podocarpus leaves that were submerged in a natural pond for 2 weeks. The goal of this study is to understand the microbial community composition of leaf biofilms in the early stages of leaf decay and correlated microbial genera with EPS concentrations.
