This series was used to obtain the next registration number for inward correspondence and to record the page number of the volume in which the full registration details were entered (in VPRS 12621 Self-Indexing Register of Secretary's General Correspondence, Annual Single Number System I.The series comprised a list of sequential numbers against which were recorded, in two columns, the volume and folio (page) numbers of the full registration.
