Bipolaris fujianensis is a newly identified plant pathogenic fungus that causes severe needle blight on Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata), leading to significant economic losses in southern China. To understand the molecular basis of its pathogenicity, we performed high-throughput RNA sequencing on mycelium grown under two conditions: potato dextrose agar (control) and Chinese fir shoots (infection). A total of 20 RNA-seq libraries were constructed and sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform. The generated transcriptome data will be used to identify differentially expressed genes, predict secreted effectors, and annotate secondary metabolite clusters. This study will provide valuable genomic resources for further functional studies and potential disease management strategies against B. fujianensis.
