NRS-20277 | Administrative records [City of Canada Bay]

This series contains the administrative files of the City of Canada Bay Council and the former Drummoyne Council. The City of Canada Bay Council began operation on 1 December 2000 following the amalgamation of Drummoyne Council and Concord Council. (1) The files record the general day-to-day business of council including council elections, significant celebrations and events, and town planning matters. The series also includes reports from various committees as well as files on significant developments such as the Canada Bay Reclamation Project. The files are arranged using a numbering system based on an alphabetical arrangement of broad subject areas.  From 1966, a three part number is used. (2) A guide to the numbering system can be found in item numbers 76-0-0 and A375-1.The City of Canada Bay Council continues to create these administrative files using a hybrid recordkeeping system.
