The Directorate Survey, 2006

The Directorate Survey in 2006 was conducted as a web-based survey among the different directorates and other sentral administration outside the ministeries in Norway. The survey is part of the Central Administration study, which constitutes as an integral part together with the Department survey. The questions deal with aspects of working methods, personnel, and decision making, and are in that manner identical with the Department survey. The implementation is done through selection of appropriate response options in web questionnaire. Similar surveys were first conducted in 1976, and the 2006 edition is the fourth time it is implemented. The execution of the survey is being managed by NSD, but preliminary work is a collaboration between the University of Bergen, ARENA and the University of Oslo.
