This paper presents an experimental study on the effectiveness of non-contact type vision sensors (i.e., video cameras) to track displacement and deformation in structural testing. This project uses vision-based systems that consist of off-the-shelf commercial video cameras and a video-tracking post-processing program developed by a team at Howard University. This project provides recommendations for the use of vision-based systems in structural testing.
