Motor vehicles; demolition, vehicle type, fuel type, 2000-2021

This table lists Dutch passenger cars and commercial motor vehicles (order cars, lorries, semi-trailer tractors, special vehicles and buses) that were lost during the reporting year because the registration/registration certificate was declared invalid due to scrapping. The vehicles included in the demolition are broken down by type of fuel of the vehicle. Vehicles belonging to demolition on 1 January of a given year (e.g. on 1 January 2009) were demolished/disassembled in the previous year. These vehicles may have participated in traffic for part of that previous year (e.g. in 2008). The data are based on information from the RDW vehicle register.
