This dataset is extracted from 56,000 news articles published across 63 U.S. news outlets, and contains sentences annotated with stances towards global warming. In addition to carrying opinion annotations with explicit stance judgments, the dataset also takes annotators' biases into consideration. It comprises 2,050 opinion spans, which were labeled by 398 qualified annotators as "agree", "neutral", or "disagree". With a corpus of 56,000 news articles, the core task of this dataset is to detect media stances regarding global warming.
