SEM Withered Plant (BSE, 2025-08-25) — Kikoh Matsuura (Art–Science Archive)

SEM Withered Plant (BSE, 2025-08-25) is a child dataset in the SEM Withered Plant (BSE Series) by Kikoh Matsuura.  It contains raw, uncompressed BMP images (without scale bars) and supplementary JPG previews (with scale bars), acquired with a personally owned TECHNEX TinySEM M3-i using the BSE detector under high-vacuum conditions.  

This dataset constitutes the primary observation data of the art–science work *Withered Plant*.  The images capture the hidden microstructures of a dried plant fragment, prepared with Au sputter coating and observed at 17 kV accelerating voltage with a magnification of 120×.  

By preserving both raw scientific evidence and its artistic context, this record stands as a unique trace at the boundary between art and science.  It links to the parent series record via *IsPartOf* and contributes to the long-term archival of observation as both scientific evidence and cultural record.
