This correspondence mainly relate to an anticipated local electric supply. Murtoa expressed a want for a generating plant as did Rupanyip Bowling Club and likewise 'The Busy Bee' and the churches.There was a lack of equipment for the distribution of electricity such as cables, generators, etc.The Chief Electrical Inspector of Victoria corresponded with the Shire of Dunmunkle (1954) to give instructions about earthing. Chief Electrical Inspector arranged inspection of installation of equipment.
