Expression data of miRNAs extracted from plasma [Affymetrix miRNA4.0]

The symptoms of bipolar depression (BD) overlapping with unipolar depression (UD) makes it difficult to perform an accurate diagnosis. We aimed to investigate the potential of plasma miRNAs to distinguish BD from UD. In this study, we used the Affymetrix Genechip miRNA 4.0 Array to investigate the profiles of differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) in peripheral blood plasma. As a result, forty-two DEMs (17 with downregulation and 25 with upregulation) between UD and BD patients. Peripheral blood samples of 7 UD patients, 7 BD patients and 6 healthy individuals were collected fore the miRNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. UD patients'code numbers include:825,835,849,541,516,456,628.BD patients'code numbers include:530,452,629,845,853,956,972.Meanwhile the healthy controls were coded as:704,613,577,568,566,564.
