Host and maternal effects on the microbiome profile and its association with growth performance and meat quality of two Iberian pig strains and their reciprocal crosses

The aim of this project was to study the gut microbiome profile of the EE, RR, ER and RE Iberian pig strains and its association with maternal effect and host genetics, in order to understand the mechanism underlying growth performance and meat quality traits in the Iberian pig.
