Experiment to investigate early gene changes in response to endogenous peptide, PEPITEM, to understand downstream signalling within the cells and its effects on bone formation. Osteoblasts isolated from C57Bl/6J calvaria were cultured in osteogenic medium for 24h prior to treating with or without 10ng/ml PEPITEM (SVTEQGAELSNEER) or control peptide (EQAERYDDMAACMK) for 6h.
