Freshwater Metagenome Targeted loci environmental

We targeted multiple aquatic species across taxa using multigene eDNA metabarcoding to identify multiple species across taxa along a longitudinal gradient in watersheds to understand spatial variation and species patterns in an aquatic biodiversity assessment. Specifically, we evaluate the spatial heterogeneity of various aquatic species across the transition from below to above the distribution of fish in streams to determine how they are distributed around this boundary and to understand more generally about the distribution patterns of aquatic species, especially if we can identify rare and cryptic species.
