Slope inclination

The slope inclination corresponds to the so-called slope angle and is the slope of the terrain surface opposite the horizontal along a fall line, i.e. the maximum inclination angle of the terrain. For the calculation of the slope inclination, the digital terrain model (DGM) with a ground resolution of 2x2 m. Based on this grid data, the slope inclination for each grid area was calculated on the basis of the absolute difference in altitude to its neighbouring cells. The maximum value within the grid cell is specified. Usually, the slope is expressed in degrees, only in the areas of agriculture, road construction and construction, the indication is given in percent (45 ° equivalent to 100 %). The data set is presented as a map level slope slope in the WMS Height Information Saxony as a classified raster dataset. The eight defined slope classes are represented by different colors. The colour gradations from green to red correspond to the transition from flat terrain to steep terrain. The material data query provides the slope inclination of the pixel both in degrees and in percent.
