Vegetation leaf area index of global key areas in 2018

The resolution of the newly launched sentinel satellite is much better than that of the traditional satellite. Sentinel-2 adds a red edge band which is more sensitive to vegetation, which can overcome the limitation of time, space and spectral resolution in Lai inversion based on traditional satellite data, and improve the retrieval accuracy and frequency of crop Lai in an all-round way. The product data set includes the retrieval information of vegetation leaf area index of cultivated land, forest and grassland in Northeast, Huanghuaihai, middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, forest and grassland in Daxinganling and Hulunbeier, North America and Amazon. This time series product is helpful for emergency monitoring of crop growth and forest monitoring in key areas.
