Association Between Visual Imagery Characteristics and Vividness Ratings: Examining One Component of Imagery Experience in Vividness Measurement Scales

This dataset contains the raw data from a study examining the relationships between visual imagery characteristics and vividness ratings during responses to vividness measurement scales. The study focused on visual imagery characteristics as one component of imagery experience, using the Japanese version of the Plymouth Sensory Imagery Questionnaire (Psi-Q).
Study Details:

Sample: 285 Japanese adults (after exclusions) aged 18 and above
Data Collection: April 2021, web-based survey
Original Sample: 301 participants (16 excluded due to reliability check failures and response inconsistencies)
File Format: Excel (.xlsx) with comprehensive English codebook
Usage: This dataset supports the published findings and enables replication analyses and further research into mental imagery assessment.
