A greenhouse experiment was conducted to assess the effects of Lindane at hazard contamination threshold and double the concentration on the bulk and rhizosphere soil bacterial communities as quantified by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The effect on the potential N-turnover of the bacterial community was assessed as well with the final goal to evaluate the efficiency of traditional soil clean-up methods in restoring soil functionality.
