资源简介:
This study investigates the formulation of a cohesive medical English curriculum based on Task-Based language teaching (TBLT) to improve clinical communication competencies among medical students. Conventional English for Medical Purposes (EMP) courses frequently prioritize passive knowledge over the practical communication skills essential in clinical environments (Hutchinson & Waters, 1987). This research presents a task-based framework that integrates linguistic competence with practical clinical tasks, including paient interviews, case presentations and doctor-patient interactions (Ellis, 2003). The study employs a mixed-method approach to assess the curriculum’s efficacy in enhancing students’ speaking, listening and interactinal skills. The results indicate that TBLT markedly improves learners’ communicative competence, self-assurance, and professional preparedness (Long, 2015).
