We screened a good S. italica variety âSRR41â which can easily cross-pollinate with 'Yugu1'. The Genomic DNAs of 'SSR41' and other plant samples were extracted from leaves of a 4-weeks-old individual using a modified CTAB method. DNA library construction and whole-genome resequencing were performed according to Illumina DNA Prep workflow (www.illumina.com) by Beijing Berry Genomic (Company Limited, Beijing, China). The Illumina Hiseq 2500 platform and 150-bp paired-end mode were employed for high throughput sequencing.
