资源简介:
This record contains the processed spatial data, optimisation scripts, post-processing scripts, derived metrics and metadata required to reproduce the numerical analyses reported in the manuscript “From area targets to efficiency frontiers: evaluating management-regime alignment in Chilean marine spatial planning”.
The repository starts from a processed 5-km planning-unit layer for the Chilean territorial sea and reproduces two optimisation scenarios: (1) free selection of planning units and (2) zero implementation cost for planning units overlapping current marine protected areas. The analyses use the AUGMECON method implemented in the R package multiscape to approximate supported efficient frontiers across three objectives: minimising cost, maximising biodiversity representation and minimising fragmentation.
The archive includes the processed planning-unit layer, data dictionary, R scripts, optimisation outputs, Pareto-frontier geometry, frontier-wide management-regime efficiency metrics, conditional efficiency summaries, irreplaceability metrics, objective-range summaries and feature-representation summaries. The scripts reproduce the numerical results and figure/table source data used in the manuscript. Final figure styling and panel layout may require minor manual formatting.
The main input file is data/processed/planning_units_territorial_sea_5km.shp. Field definitions are provided in data/metadata/data_dictionary.csv. Instructions for running the workflow are provided in README.md.
